Do you hide your intelligence to remain safe or unnoticed in relationships, at work, in life? Many women play at less than 100%. They feel if they reveal all their greatness, their talents and their intelligence that somehow they will not be safe or will set themselves up for rejection. It may feel easier to hold back than take a risk. Maybe you had a wonderful idea that would revolutionize your industry or make a productive improvement in your workplace. You remain silent or shared it with another female coworker who wasn’t encouraging. Before you know it, a male co worker comes up with a similar idea and he is revered as a hero while you continue to hide your brilliance.
Or perhaps in relationships you hold back. When out on a date with a man and purposely play your intelligence down so as not to overwhelm him. If he knows who you really are he may not stay around and you are tired of being alone. Then the relationship falls apart because he is not in your league but you settled so you didn’t have to be alone. If you are playing at only 70% of your true value – you are attracting 70% of your true value which isn’t a match for you and you will find that no relationship will work under those conditions.
